ARCHIVED – Lyme Disease in Canada: An Update on the Epidemiology
Publication Summary
The purpose of this Purple paper is fourfold:
- to review the current epidemiology of Lyme disease in Canada,
- to summarize the vector ecology of Lyme disease and how this informs surveillance,
- to discuss projections of the spread of Lyme disease, and
- to identify other tick-borne diseases in Canada and describe their co-occurrence with B. burgdorferi.
This Purple Paper has a companion document which outlines the diagnostic pathway for Lyme disease.
