Megan Smallwood has a Bachelor in Sciences from Queen´s University and a Masters in Epidemiology from McGill University. She was a consultant at NCCID during 2017 and conducted a comprehensive literature review to synthesize evidence surrounding the availability and use of point-of-care technologies for diagnosing sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs). Currently (2021) Smallwood is a Project Manager at Genome Canada where she supports the development and implementation of Genome Canada’s programs, including the Canadian COVID-19 Genomics Network (CanCOGeN) and large-scale science.
