Presentation Description

The presentation informs on the NACI recommendations on the use of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, including information on the characteristics of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine platform, the clinical evidence for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, and handling and administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Speaker

Dr. Shelley Deeks is the Chief Health Protection Officer at Public Health Ontario and the Executive lead for the COVID-19 public health response at PHO. She is an Associate Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto and is the Vice Chair of Canada’s National Advosiry Committee on Immunization (NACI).

With over 20 years’ experience as a public health physician, Dr. Deeks has worked at all levels of the public health system in Canada, and at the national level in Australia. She also holds Fellowships in Public Health in Canada and Australia.
