Synopsis

This moderated and live webinar will discuss the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommendations on seasonal influenza vaccine use for the 2021-2022 season during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will address the role of health care providers in vaccine uptake and will include an overview of antiviral treatment of influenza. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • discuss the importance of seasonal influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • identify and address barriers to seasonal influenza vaccine uptake
  • apply the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommendations on seasonal influenza vaccine use for the 2021-2022 season
  • identify where to access NACI and relevant Public Health Agency of Canada resources relevant to vaccination during the 2021-22 season
